🎲 What Is Bunco (and Why You Should Totally Come Play)
Okay ladies, real talk.
Every time we announce another Bunco Night at The Barn, I get a handful of messages that sound like this:
“What is Bunco?”
“I don’t know how to play…”
“I might be busy that night…”
Let me stop you right there — because if you’ve ever wanted a reason to get out of the house, laugh until you snort, and meet some genuinely great friends, this is it.
💛 So… What Is Bunco?
Bunco is basically the world’s easiest dice game — mixed with a whole lot of friend time.
You sit at a table with a few other local friends connected to the Barn in some way, roll dice, and yell “BUNCO!” if you’re lucky enough to roll all the same number. That’s it.
No skill required. No pressure. No judgment.
If you can count to six and talk at the same time, you’re golden.
It’s fast, funny, and super social — because every round you rotate tables and get to meet new people. By the end of the night, you’ve probably shared snacks, swapped stories, and laughed with 20 new friends.
🎃 Why You Should Play (Even If You’ve Never Played Before)
Because it’s not really about the dice.
It’s about a night that’s just for you.
It’s about that feeling when you walk in not knowing anyone and walk out with a few new besties.
It’s about doing something different — something that fills your cup instead of drains it.
We’ve had anywhere from 12 to 30 friends at our Bunco nights. Some come solo, some bring a sister or a friend (and a few even drag their husbands along — we don’t judge). Every time, the energy is pure magic.

Everyone brings a snack to share and whatever beverage they like. We’ve seen everything from fancy charcuterie to a bag of popcorn and a bottle of wine — it’s all welcome here.
There are laughs, prizes, and those easy conversations that remind you why community matters.
And yes, we play for small prizes — but mostly, we play for the joy of it.
